  Last night I called AAA due to my car breaking down. AAA contacted B & R for towing services. I was told the tow truck would be at my location in about an hour. My car was in the middle of the road and could not be moved due to a right front wheel issue. After an hour, the cops told me that the car would have to be moved. I called B & R and was told that the truck they were sending to me had to go to Arlington Heights first and then drive to Libertyville to assist me, and had not left for Arlington Heights yet. I was told that it would be at least another hour wait. Needless to say, this was not acceptable to the cops, or to me. The cops called a local towing service who moved the car (which probably was a good thing since now the battery was drained and I was pretty cold.) I am now in the process of obtaining reimbursement from AAA for the $150 I had to pay the towing company that the police called. The service provided by AAA was fine, but the service provided by B & R did not meet AAA's or my expectations. I have reported this to the AAA Resolution Department for their further review. If AAA tells you that they are using this service to tow your car, you may want to take action on your own before waiting as I did.
